Thanksgiving delivery day 2019. Holiday for Heroes rolled up to Doraville PD with an awesome turkey, and sides of green beans, Mac & Cheese, Mashed potatoes and gravy, and of course some rolls! Awesome day and awesome experience getting to be a part of making their Thanksgiving a little less stressfull. No time for talking! There was serious turkey cooking going on. This was Thanksgiving delivery for Holiday for Heroes, and it warms our hearts to see all the food that the community supplied going to such good use.  To all the first responders in the Chamblee area, thank you so much for all you do for us! We are so grateful for you. See you around Christmastime! 

So, you want to know what it takes to feed over 100 fire fighters and their families and police officers AND their families on Christmas??? This. Buying in BULK. A huge thank you to the Brookhave Costco and Publix for their help and donations. Buying in bulk is seriously the only way to go! Whew! There were a lot of pies, and a lot of turkeys but the gravy was crazy!!!! We are preparing for Christ

If you've never taken the opportunity to go over to PDK and visit with our First Responders, you should! They love to give tours and show you what they do best. Take the kiddo's and spend some time getting to know what these amazing heroes do every day!

This is what the back of our cars look like on delivery day!! Some amazing food heading towards our amazing heroes and their families! Thanks to everyone who helped and donated to make this event happen for these very wonderful men and women. Believe it or not, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day are two of the busiest days for First Responders, so having meals ready to go is a huge blessing!
